Eliana Thorpe
Ballet Teacher
Eliana has been a student at CAPA since 2017, where she has honed her skills and developed a deep passion for ballet. Eliana has trained in multiple syllabi including Cecchetti, RAD, and Vaganova.
Eliana’s training journey includes placements such as the Australian Ballet School Interstate Program, Queensland Ballet Associate Program (2018–2020), and summer intensives at The Royal Ballet School, Princess Grace Academy, and Bolshoi Academy. Eliana has represented Queensland at the Cecchetti Ballet Lucie Saronova Awards multiple times, earning recognition in 2018 and 2019, alongside winning the Cecchetti Ballet Queensland William Carse Memorial Award (2016), Bronze Category (2017), Silver Category (2018), and Gold Category (2019).
In 2021, Eliana was awarded a full-time placement at the Queensland Ballet Academy. Her dedication to both ballet and education drives her passion for teaching, and she is excited to share her knowledge and experiences with her students.
Eliana has completed her Cecchetti Associate Teaching Diploma (Part 1) and is currently working towards her Cecchetti Final Diploma and Cecchetti Associate Teaching Diploma (Part 2). She is also pursuing a Bachelor of Secondary Education and Creative Writing at QUT, honing her love for teaching.
