CUA30113 Certificate III in Dance (Year 10-12)
CUA30313 Certificate III in Assistant Dance Teaching
These are 18-month courses for school aged students in Years 10, 11 or 12. Designed to provide the foundations for young performers aspiring to become professional artists.
Students completing a Certificate III in Dance will increase their depth of precision technique, develop improvisation and partnering skills, perfect personal presentation and be well versed in various industry theory studies.
Career opportunities: Completion of Certificate III in Dance will assist students in entering the dance industry. With additional training and experience, future employment opportunities may include dancer, performer and choreographer.
The classes will run over 40 weeks each year. There will be four terms, each ten weeks. The terms align with the Queensland School calendar. Some holiday lessons will be required, further details will be provided closer to the date.
CLASSICAL ELITE TRAINING PROGRAM
By invitation only: An extension program for Classical students showing exceptional dedication, commitment and extraordinary talent to extend technique beyond syllabus requirements.
PART TIME CLASSICAL TRAINING
By Invitation only: Part time classical training during school hours providing additional training hours required for students working at an Elite level.
